So I know that this blog is supposed to be about education and everything related to education. But first I wanted to start off by saying that this is my first ever blog and I'm totally psyched yet freaked out at the same time. I thought I was a technology person considering I grew up with all these wonderful resources, but being halfway through this class I have realized that I know nothing about the technology world. I have heard of all these things, like podcasts and blogs, but actually using them is like a foreign language to me. I am excited to explore this world of technology and become more accustomed to using the blog. I just hope that the technology world is ready for me and is willing to be patient. LOL.
Unfortunately working in a day care (I work as an Assistant Pre-K Teacher at a Goddard School), there aren't much opportunities for technology to be used in the classroom. We do have access to a computer and the internet and we have great cd-roms for the children to learn from, but other than there isn't much for them, at least not available in the school. I wish this weren't the case. I guess only time will tell how much technology that we can make available to our young learners.
I bet you can find some ways now to bring your knowledge into the classroom!

Welcome to the world of blogging!
ReplyDeleteMy first year out of school I worked in a private Kindergarten. Taking pictures of them and having a microphone will allow for the creation of podcasts and they will LOVE it
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of taking pictures and creating podcasts. But would you post the pictures to the podcasts? Or just the conversations pieces?
